Flat on the floor, the Dig Board files front nails. For back nails, you can lean the board against a low step and teach a separate back-paw trick; our Training Guide shows you how. Back nails usually wear down faster on walks, so many dogs need them trimmed less often. Dewclaws don’t touch the board, so they may still need an occasional trim.

It’s unlikely if you keep the rules clear. Teach it as a game with a cue word, only reward scratching on the board, and put the board away after each session. Dogs quickly learn that scratching only pays off on the board. Our Training Guide has the details.

When the surface stops feeling rough, peel off the old grip, wipe the board clean and let it dry. Cut a piece of the spare grip sheet to size with sturdy scissors or a craft knife (an adult should do the cutting), peel off the backing and press it down firmly, smoothing out any bubbles. Do the same for the drawer lid.

No, treats aren’t included. Small, smelly treats cut into pea-sized pieces work best.

Brush or vacuum off nail dust, then wipe the wood with a slightly damp cloth and let it dry fully. Don’t soak it or put it in the dishwasher.

The Dig Board is designed for supervised use. Keep sessions short, and check paw pads now and then. If you notice redness or irritation, take a break and ask your vet. The Dig Board is not a medical device.

Tracking can pause for several days while a parcel is in transit. If your order hasn’t arrived 35 days after you placed it, or tracking hasn’t updated for 20 days, contact us and we’ll send a replacement or refund you.
